Established in 1992, the Himachal Pradesh University Regional Centre (HPURC), Dharamshala was founded to promote higher education and socio-economic development in the region. The Centre primarily serves students from Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Mandi, and remote areas such as Chamba, Kullu, and Lahaul–Spiti.
The Regional Centre offers accessible postgraduate education in Humanities, Science, and Commerce. To meet professional academic needs, a three-year LL.B. program was introduced in 1999, following the same syllabus and examination pattern as H.P. University, Shimla. Admissions are conducted through the university’s law entrance test.
Further strengthening professional education, MBA and MCA programs were launched in 2015, with the MCA program focused on preparing students for careers in software and IT sectors. Since its inception, HPURC Dharamshala has actively contributed to education, research, consultancy, seminars, and workshops, evolving as a reputed institution and emerging centre of excellence.

The Department of Computer Science focuses on modern computing skills, software development, and emerging technologies through a balanced approach of theory and hands-on laboratory work. The Department of Law is dedicated to developing legally aware and ethically responsible professionals with a strong understanding of legal principles, constitutional values, and the practical dimensions of the justice system.
The Department of Mathematics builds a solid foundation in logical reasoning, problem-solving, and quantitative techniques essential for academic excellence and professional growth. With committed faculty members, supportive infrastructure, and a student-centric approach, HPURC Dharamshala strives to nurture capable, confident, and socially responsible graduates prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
The International Conference on Research and Development in Information, Communication and Computing Technologies (ICRDICCT-2026) is scheduled to be held on 09 & 10 April 2026 in online mode, with the Seminar Hall, Himachal Pradesh University Regional Centre (HPURC), Dharamshala serving as the official host venue.
The inauguration of the conference will be conducted in hybrid mode (both offline and online), enabling participation from distinguished dignitaries and guests at the venue as well as from remote locations across the globe.
This multidisciplinary conference aims to bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, and students from the domains of Computer Science, Law, and Mathematics to discuss recent advances, share innovative ideas, and explore the intersections of intelligent computing, legal analytics, and mathematical frameworks.
